Glazeley

St Bartholomew    WV16 6AB

parking, wheelchair ramp, open daylight hours Apr-Sept

A beautiful Grade II listed church, designed by Sir Arthur Blomfield and rebuilt in 1875. Believed to be the site of a church since the 11th century, referred to in the Domesday book.

It retains many features from its predecessors including a 12th century font and a medieval coffin.

There are memorials to the Wylde family who owned the Glazeley Estate.

The east window is by Kempe.

A lovely window in memory of Lt Philip Crook, killed in action in Palestine in 1917
